Kennels

All our rooms are individual. Dogs from the same family are welcome to stay together. We have a variety of sized rooms to cater for larger families. All kennels are individually heated, and we do provide all baskets and beddings, but encourage owners to bring their own. We believe that home comforts help the settling process and are happy for you to bring anything you feel your pet will benefit from.

Our friendly, affectionate team will ensure that your furry friends never get bored or lonely. To keep them healthy and happy, we offer regular one-to-one playtime in our secure grassed exercise field, where they have access to a variety of enrichment activities including tunnels, soft play equipment, raised platforms and a wide range of toys but of course, feel free to also bring along their own favourite toys. All the dogs in our care are offered a minimum of four opportunities throughout the day to toilet and exercise. Dogs are exercised individually or with their housemates.
If you are ever concerned about them during their stay the best form of communication is via our Facebook page messenger and we will let you know how they are doing. We do take photos from time to time when the moment arises and can send them to you, this will depend on how busy the day is, our utmost priority is looking after your dogs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which vaccines are required for Dogs ?
The initial primary vaccination course is essential to protect your pet and others. For any puppies receiving the first course of vaccinations and older dogs who may be required to start the course again, there is a required two-week period after their vaccination is given before they are allowed to board with us. A yearly booster is also required by law thereafter. All vaccination records must be brought on arrival each time your pet stays with us, in order that a record can be taken. Kennel cough is optional, this is your choice, however if given, must be at least a month before your dog’s stay. This is a live vaccine and if any reaction occurs, this could bring the virus into our kennels.
Please ensure all worming and flea treatment is also up-to-date prior to arrival.
Will my dog be exercised?
Absolutely! 4-5 days a day. We start work very early in order that this can be achieved.
Likewise our finishing times can be very late in the evening too. We have lots of toys but we are happy for you to bring any favourites of your own .
What if My dog doesn’t get along with other dogs?
That’s not a problem for us. Our licence conditions state dogs must be kept separate, as kennel licence conditions are very different from day care licence conditions. We do not mix any dogs together unless they are from the same family. This is for the safety of your dog as well as others. All our exercise is one-to-one, ensuring all dogs are given equal priority.
Do you have a quiet kennel area?
The best answer is that the design and construction of our kennels means that dogs cannot see one another, are not facing one another and that in itself tends to keep the noise to a minimum, and of course there cannot be any intimidation either. Any puppies, elderly dogs, dogs that may require certain medications or dogs that may show nervous or timid tendencies will also be placed in our quieter areas.
My dog has to take medication, is that a problem?
No it’s no problem at all, we are happy to administer any medication, we have a secure area to store it and we have to record any administrative activities by law. We are also happy to administer insulin at any time of day or evening. There are no extra charges for this.
Any amount of medication left with your dog should reflect unforeseen circumstances and therefore we would ask you provide more than the amount needed for their stay.
Can I bring my dogs own bed and toys ?
Yes absolutely, and we encourage owners to do so. We believe that home comforts help the settling process and we are happy for you to bring anything you feel your pet will benefit from.
At what age can i leave my dog for boarding?
Dogs can be left for boarding two weeks after their initial course of vaccinations have been completed. Some puppies may be able to stay from 12 weeks, others may be 16 weeks. This is dependant on which vaccine your vet provides so please check with them.
Is it a good idea to leave my puppy so young?
In our many years of experience, this is by far the best time to introduce new experiences. Not just boarding but other experiences too, for example grooming, daycare and puppy training classes. All these different environments can promote a well rounded youngster and can lead to confident dog for the future.
My dog has a special diet, will this be catered for?
We stock all brands of food from supermarkets own to raw. However if your pet has a tailor made diet (for example - Tails or Butternut Box) or has a prescription diet that we are unable to provide then these should be brought along. During their stay, your dog may require a higher quantity of food than they would normally receive at home. This might be due to higher than normal excitement levels. Please bear this in mind when providing weighed portions.
Please give us a call to check if we can provide your dog's diet.
Can i come to view?
Of course! Viewings are Monday - Saturday between 10am - 12pm. You are more than welcome to bring your dog along to meet us. We will be happy to discuss any queries and requirements you may have. Viewings are strictly external, where you will be able to meet us and see our set up and exercise facility. This is because the security and biosecurity of our boarders is our main priority. There are of course plenty of photos of our facebook page and our website of the internal environment and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
is a trial stay beneficial for my dog?
We do allow dogs to have a trial stay, however we don't offer overnight trial stays. This period of time isn't long enough for your pet to adjust to our routine and feel comfortable in their new surroundings. Whether your dog has a trial stay or not, we cannot determine how they will react for the length of time you anticipate them staying with us. All pets are individual but as professionals, we will make every effort to ensure your pet feels safe and happy and that there stay is as enjoyable as possible.
Do you offer a collection and delivery service?
No, we do not offer a collection or delivery service.
Do you accept XL Bully's for boarding?
In order to determine if your dog would be accepted into boarding, we would require you to bring your dog to meet us first. This can be done Monday-Saturday between 10am-12pm. If you dog is accepted for boarding, we would then require a copy of their certificate of exemption, proof of insurance and their muzzle. XL Bully's are not permitted to board for more than 30 days.
